POLISI mkoani Mwanza wanamshikilia Imamu wa Msikiti wa Ijumaa, huku likitangaza kuwasaka masheikh wawili wengine pamoja na Askofu (majina yote yanahifadhiwa) kwa kuhusika na uchochezi wa kidini.

Kamanda wa Polisi Mkoa wa Mwanza, Ernest Mangu alisema Imamu huyo wa msikiti alitiwa mbaroni kwa madai ya kubainika kwamba wanahusika na usambazaji wa CD za uchochezi ambazo zimekuwa zikihamasisha vurugu pamoja na mauaji ya kidini ikiwa ni pamoja na suala la kuchinja.

Kwa upande wake Askofu Mpemba wa Kanisa la Tanzania Field Evangelist yeye anasakwa kutokana na kutoa mkanda wa video (DVD) yenye jina la ‘Inuka Chinja Ule’ wakati mashehe wawili wanasakwa kwa kuhusika na uandaaji wa mikanda ya video mitatu (DVD) zenye majina ya ‘Unafiki katika Sensa, Kadhia ya Muungano wa Tanganyika na Zanzibar pamoja na Uadui wa Makafiri’.

Wakati huohuo, Baraza Kuu la Waislamu Tanzania (Bakwata) Mkoa wa Morogoro, limesema huenda likajitenga na Bakwata Taifa kufuatia hatua ya Sheikh Mkuu, Mufti Issa Shaaban bin Simba kumvua madaraka Sheikh wa Mkoa wa Morogoro, Yahya Semwali bila kufuata utaratibu.

Wakati wanaharakati hao wakieleza hayo, Naibu Waziri wa Maendeleo ya Jamii, Jinsia na Watoto, Ummy Mwalimu amesema mauaji hayo yanatokana na baadhi ya watu kuwa na imani za kishirikina, kwamba wakipata viungo vya watu wenye ulemavu watapata utajiri.
Alisema tayari Serikali imemuagiza Ofisa Maendeleo ya Jamii Rukwa ambao ulikumbwa na mauaji hayo, kukutana na maofisa maendeleo wa wilaya zote za mkoa huo kwa ajili ya kuwapa elimu wananchi.

A homeless man has become the centre of a global fundraising campaign - after returning a diamond engagement ring to a bride-to-be who dropped it in his coffee cup.

Sarah Darling lost her ring on the streets of Kansas City when she it unknowingly dropped it into a cup belonging to Billy Ray Harris.
She desperately dashed back to the scene the next day after realising it was missing, and was overjoyed when Harris returned the valuable jewellery straight back to her.

The feel-good story has touched so many people that an online fundraising page for homeless Harris has since pulled $150,000 in less than a fortnight.
The act of selflessness by Harris, who sleeps under a bridge and spends his days in a square in Kansas City, has since been described as a 'miracle' by Ms Darling's fiance, Bill Krejci.

Mr Krejci, who set up the online donations page himself, said the act of generosity 'makes you realise that there are good people out there'.

AND 1 Mixtape Star & Streetball Legend Tyrone "Alimoe" Evans Passes Away

Sad news to report today in the world of basketball as streetball legend and former AND 1 mixtape star, a family friend tells Hip-Hop Wired that Tyrone "Alimoe" Evans has passed away from complications following a stroke.

The Harlem, NY resident also known as "The Black Widow" rose to prominence during the street ball boom of the late 90s and early 2000s. The 6'7" player was known for his trademark ball handling skills despite his immense size, something only seen on a regular basis in the National Basketball Association.

Alimoe reached superstar status as one of the more popular players during the AND 1 Mixtape Tour. He stood out with famous street ball players of the era including Hot Sauce, The Professor, Main Event, The Air Up There, and many more. In an interview with Hoopsvibe in 2003, Evans said he wanted to be remembered as somebody that made somebody else get up and do better.

"They don't have to let me know that I lit their fire; just go out and do it.," said Evans. "They don't have to thank me and bring me out to the game; just go do it. Just knowing that that little kid watching me took something home with them. See, basketball is a teacher of life. The lessons you learn in basketball - don't be selfish, work hard, and treat everybody good - they're the same lessons in life."

University Student Turns Girl to SNAKE for Money!!

A guy who schools in Houdegbe North American University Benin Republic(HNAUB) was arrested, due to his action of turning a fellow female student to a snake using supernatural powers.
The guys are said to be 100 Level Business Administration Students of the above named University, to cut the explanation short, they’re freshers who wants to make quick money,they want to drive exotic cars, blast un-worked for money as a result of oppressing their fellow students who happened to struggle hard to complete their education. This culprit happened to travel to down to Port-Novo for the rituals according to the arrested guy.

Pictures of two girls were found in the box which contained the snake. The Snake in the box is actually one of the girls that was used,while the second girl’s head had already been chopped off.
It was a girl that stays in the same compound with them that noticed their strange movements and she therefore reported them to the police. Some of their girlfriends have actually been declared missing for some days now but no one ever imagined that they could have been used for money rituals until the moment they were arrested. People thought the girls had done their “crayfish waka” as usual, not knowing that the girls have been used for rituals.

Naye shahidi wa 16, Sajini Taji Amoss (54), alidai kuwa alimhoji mshtakiwa Hussein Haji ambaye alieleza kupokea wito kutoka kwa Sheikh Ponda kwamba wakafanye usafi katika kiwanja cha Marcas.

Katika kesi hiyo, Ponda na wenzake wanakabiliwa na mashtaka manne, likiwamo la wizi wa mali yenye thamani ya Sh 59.6 milioni, uchochezi na kuingia kwa jinai katika ardhi inayomilikiwa na kampuni ya Agritanza Ltd kwa nia ya kujimilika isivyo halali.

MC Hammer a Victim a Racial Profiling?

DUBLIN, Calif. (AP) — MC Hammer suggests he was a victim of racial profiling when he was stopped and arrested by police in the Northern California city of Dublin.
The ’90s rap star tweeted on Saturday that an officer approached him in his car and asked “Are you on parole or probation?”
He says that as he handed over his ID, the officer reached inside the car and tried to pull him out.
Dublin police Lt. Herb Walters told the Oakland Tribune that Hammer, who was born Stanley Burrell, was arrested Thursday for investigation of obstructing an officer in the performance of their duties and resisting an officer.
He declined to comment to KTVU about Hammer’s version of the arrest.
Hammer tweeted that he wasn’t bitter and considered what happened “a teachable moment.”

OSCAR 2013; Congolese War Which Hopeful Gets US Visa

 Rachel Mwanza, star of the Oscar-nominated War Witch Mwanza was named best actress at last year's Berlin Film Festival.
The teenage star of an Oscar-nominated film about child soldiers in Africa has been granted a visa that will enable her to attend the Academy Awards.
Rachel Mwanza, from the Democratic Republic of Congo, plays the lead role in War Witch, the Canadian submission in the foreign language film category.
The 16-year-old was cast by Montreal film-maker Kim Nguyen despite having no previous acting experience.
She went on to be named best actress at the Berlin and Tribeca Film Festivals.
Nguyen, whose hard-hitting film also goes under its French title Rebelle, said his young star's story was "truly a Cinderella tale".
"Abandoned by her family and living on the streets as a child, her life has been transformed by the making of the film," he said in a statement.
"To have her journey end on the red carpet is beyond anything she could have dreamed of."
According to the Los Angeles Times, the makers of War Witch are trying to arrange a meeting between Mwanza and her "idol", singer Beyonce Knowles.
"That's all she talks about," producer Marie-Claude Poulin told the newspaper. "The only English words she knows are Beyonce and Rihanna songs."
With only three days to go before this year's ceremony, another Oscar contender has written about being briefly detained while trying to enter the US on Tuesday.
Emad Burnat, the Palestinian co-director of Oscar-nominated documentary 5 Broken Cameras, said he was held with his wife and son by immigration officials at Los Angeles International Airport for "about an hour".

Akielezea mazingira ya tukio hilo Kamanda Ahmada alisema tukio hilo limetokea baada ya Sheikh Khamis kwenda shambani kwake katika shmba la minazi Kidoti ambapo wakati akiwa shambani hapo ndipo walipotokea watu kadhaa na kumpiga mapanga sehemu za shingoni mwake na kusababisha kifo chake muda mfupi baada ya kipigo hicho.
Alisema baada ya tukio hilo, watu walimchukua na kumkimbizwa hospitali lakini kutokana na kupoteza damu nyingi alifariki dunia wakati akiwa njiani na hivyo harakati za mazishi zinafanyika za kumzika baada ya kuchukuliwa vipimo vya wataalamu wa afya.
Kamanda Ahmada ametoa wito kwa wananchi kutopuuzia taarifa za watu ambao wanawashuku na wenye kuleta maafa yakiwemo mauaji hapa nchini, kwani kuwaficha wahalifu ni kuendeleza utamaduni usiofaa katika jamii ambayo imeanza kuharibika kutokana na mauaji hayo yanayoendelea kila kukicha.

JOHANNESBURG, South Africa -- Oscar Pistorius was granted bail, allowing him to go free while awaiting trial in the shooting death of his girlfriend, a magistrate ruled Friday.

Pistorius, an Olympic and Paralympic track star, is charged with premeditated murder in the death of Reeva Steenkamp.
In a decision that took nearly two hours for him to explain, magistrate Desmond Nair said Pistorius is not a flight risk and does not show "a propensity for violence" or constitute a risk to the community.
Bail was set at 1 million rand ($112,803) and a court date was set for June 4. Pistorius has been ordered to surrender his passport and refrain from contact with any witnesses for the prosecution. He is not allowed to use prohibited substances or alcohol and is subject to testing, the judge said.
