A MAN jailed in Dubai after being convicted of gay sex in public today revealed he is lodging an appeal.
In
an exclusive interview with the Evening Express, Paul Brandt, 29, who
was in the United Arab Emirates working as an IT teacher at Dubai’s
Deira International School, said: “There was no sex involved. I am
serving a three-year sentence and I have lost my job, all because of a
kiss – but this is Dubai.”
It was claimed that
Aberdeenshire teacher Mr Brandt was spotted embracing another man
–
Mickey Beley, 40 – in public after a drunken night out.
Mr Brandt and Mr Beley were both jailed for three years on Wednesday by the Dubai Misdemeanours Court.
