Judge Marilyn Mornington
For ten to twelve years prior to her conversion to Islam, she had been working on the issue of violence against women and children in general, and also among Muslims in particular. In order to understand the issue better among the Muslim community, she began to read about Islam and associate with Muslims. "I was also very comfortable with the family life and the stories of the wives of the prophet and the companions", she remarked later. Her research led her to a point when the choice became obvious.

Yet, not everyone answers that call of truth and takes that bold step, for various reasons ranging from considerations for family and friends to social status. For Morington, she felt there was no option:
"I have to say I did not really have any choice in the matter. Allah subhanau wata'ala had His eyes on me, and that was it from that moment on ... He led me down a path from where there was no turning back from, because the more I got to know about Islam, about Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, [the more] it became obvious to me that this is where I wanted to belong and it is what I wanted to be."
This is a video interview she gave to prominent Muslim scholar Hamza Yusuf Hanson.

The shamed icon will be written to by the IOC after telling Oprah Winfrey that, despite years of denials, his seven Tour de France titles were fuelled by illegal stimulants - an admission that prompted the world's leading crusader against drugs in sport to question cycling's place in the Olympic Games.
Dick Pound, an IOC member and the former head of the World Anti- Doping Agency, said if the governing International Cycling Union (UCI) are complicit in Armstrong's doping offences, 'the only way they are going to clean up is if all these people say, "Hey, we're no longer in the Olympics and that's where we want to be so let's earn our way back into it".

'The IOC would have to deal with it. The UCI are not known for their strong actions in anti-doping. It was the same in weightlifting a few years ago.
'All of a sudden when you get right up against it things go fuzzy and they say, "Well, we can't punish innocent athletes in these sports by dropping the sport from the program".'

Facebook Announces New Search Engine Called Graph Search

Graph Search
Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg announced a new beta service called Graph Search. This will allow users to navigate the Internet through the data Facebook owns.
For example, users will be able to search across different friends’ Timelines without having to visit each individual profile to figure out if they like a specific place or thing.
David Wright and Joanna Stern at ABC News describe Graph Search as “turning some of the personal information people have shared on Facebook into a powerful searchable database.”
For example, a potential graph query could be “Who are my friends that live in San Francisco?” Graph search would then scan all your Facebook friend’s pages and spit back the relevant information about friends who live in San Francisco. Read More:
