Abdul Haji Recounts Rescuing Westgate Hostages - INTERVIEW:
Former Defense Minister Yusuf Haji's son Abdul Haji was photographed rescuing many victims of the Westgate attack. He told NTV's Mark Masai and Smriti Vidyarthi about how he got to the Mall and helped rescue many civilians.

Mtangazaji wa kituo cha redio jana ameeleza jinsi alivyonusurika katika shambulio la umwagaji damu nchini Kenya kwa kujigubika katika damu za kijana mmoja ili aonekane kuwa amekufa. Sneha Kothari Mashru alisema kijana huyo alikufa kutokana na majeraha wakati walipojikunyata kwa woga mbele ya watu hao wenye silaha ambao walivamia kituo cha biashara cha Westgate mjini Nairobi.
Kwanza alizima simu yake ya mkononi kuzuia isiwagutushwa wavamizi hao kisha akaja na mpango wa kutisha wa kujifanya amekufa.
Alieleza: "Nilichukua damu yake nyingi, kadri nilivyoweza na kujaribu kujipaka mwilini.
"Niliweka mkononi mwangu, damu nyingi ya kijana huyo, na wakati nilipokuwa nikijaribu kuweka mkononi mwangu ndipo nikagundua ameacha kupumua wakati huo.
"Hivyo nikaweka mkononi mwangu, nyingi nilivyoweza, na nikafunika sura yangu kwa kutumia nywele, sababu nywele zangu zilikuwa zimetimka hadi wakati huo, ili kujifanya kwamba nimekufa au pengine nimejeruhiwa vibaya."
Alisema angependa kumtambua kijana huyo.
Habari yake imeibuka wakati msako ukiendelea kutafuta miili kwenye kifusi kilichosababishwa na mapigano makali ya siku nne kati ya vikosi vya Kenya na wanamgambo wa Al Shabaab.
Mpaka sasa idadi ya waliokufa ni 72 na inatarajiwa kuongezeka kutokana na miili ambayo haijahesabiwa kubakia kwenye jengo hilo lililoharibiwa vibaya.
Watu wengine 175 walijeruhiwa, wakiwamo zaidi ya 60 walioko hospitalini. Takribani watu 18 wa mataifa mengine walikuwa miongoni mwa waliokufa.

Dozens Dead in Philippines Floods -Typhoon Pabuk
