Boston Bomber Captured Alive!!
Police captured Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, 19, on Friday night after a day-long manhunt using helicopters and heavily armed officers in a Boston suburb
Apprehended 'covered in blood and hiding in a covered boat in Watertown by homeowner who ventured out after curfew was lifted'
He and law enforcement officers engaged in a furious exchange of gun-fire that began shortly after 7pm
Over 30 rounds were fired in the exchange - as terrified residents of Franklin Street were evacuated by police
The stand-off continued until approximately 8.45 p.m. when Boston police announced on Twitter that Tsarnaev had been apprehended
Tsarnaev reportedly surrendered himself to police having been shot twice
He was rushed to Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and is reported to have lost a great deal of blood
He is currently in a 'serious condition'
His Miranda rights have been revoked and he is being treated as an exception due to national security
Residents were warned to stay indoors amid gunfire, flash-bang explosions and tear gas

Tume ya Vyuo Vikuu Nchini (TCU) imepanga kuanza kuwadahili wanafunzi wa kujiunga na masomo ya vyuo vikuu kwa kutumia uzoefu wao ambapo udahili huo utakaoanza mwaka huu wa masomo 2013/14, utakuwa ukiwahusisha wale ambao elimu yao imeishia darasa la saba na kuendelea, lakini walikosa sifa ya kuendelea na masomo kwa ngazi ya chuo kikuu.
Kupitia utaratibu huo mpya, mtahiniwa atajiunga na Chuo Kikuu kulingana na fani atakayoiomba na atatakiwa kufanya mitihani mitatu na kufaulu kwa wastani wa daraja B ambapo Mkurugenzi wa Ithibati na Ubora wa Elimu ya Juu kutoka TCU, Dk Savinus Maronga aliliambia Mwananchi kwamba baada ya kuona kuna watu wengi wanaopenda kuendelea na masomo ya elimu ya juu lakini wameshindwa kutokana na kutokuwa na vigezo, TCU imeamua kuanzisha mitihani hiyo maalumu.
Alisema kuwa mfumo huo unaojulikana kama ‘Recognition of Prior Learning’ (RPL), utamwezesha mwombaji kudahiliwa vyuoni kupitia tume hiyo kama wanavyofanya watahiniwa wengine, Sifa zinazotakiwa ili kujiunga…. mwombaji anatakiwa kuwa na umri kuanzia miaka 25 na kuendelea, sambamba na kuwa na elimu isiyopungua darasa la saba, atakiwa kuwa na nia ya kujiunga na elimu ya chuo kikuu na uzoefu wa kile ambacho anakusudia kukisoma, awe na uwezo wa kuandika na kusoma Lugha ya Kiingereza, ambayo ndiyo inayotumika kufundishia vyuoni”
Mkurugenzi amekaririwa akisema “Kuna watu wameishia darasa la saba, lakini wamefanya kazi katika eneo moja, mfano karani wa mahakama, mwandishi wa habari kwa muda mrefu, mfumo huu utawawezesha kuendelea na masomo bila tatizo, kutakuwa na mitihani ya masomo matatu ambayo mtahiniwa ili apate nafasi ya kuendelea na masomo ni lazima afaulu kwa wastani wa daraja B, daraja la kwanza linaloanza na alama A ni 75-100, daraja B+ ni 60-75, B ni 50-59, C ni 40-49, D ni 35-39 na daraja E ni 0-34.
