Kony Hunt for The World's Most Wanted

Somewhere in the vast, dense jungles of central Africa, is hidden Joseph Kony, one of the world's most wanted men. For the past 25 years, Kony and his Lord's Resistance Army have waged one of the continent's darkest conflicts, using an army of abducted and brutalised children to kill and maim tens of thousands of people. But how has one man, said to take his orders from the spirit world, managed to escape capture for so long? In the wake of the infamous 'Kony 2012' internet campaign to bring him to justice this year, Bafta-winning reporter, Sorious Samura, investigates the myths surrounding Kony and travels to the front line of the fight to bring one of Africa's most bizarre and brutal leaders to justice.

Wheelchair User Trying to Raise £3m by Pushing Himself Across Africa!!

Zackary Kimotho from Kenya has been a wheelchair user since he was shot in a car-jacking eight years ago.
While he is one of thousands of Kenyans with spinal injuries, there is currently no specialist care available in the country.
Now Zack is trying to raise nearly £3m to build a Spinal Injury Rehabilitation Unit in Nairobi - the first in East Africa.
To do this he has begun an attempt to push himself across Africa, from the Kenyan capital Nairobi to South Africa, where the nearest Spinal Unit is.
Matthew Pinsent met him as he approached the Kenya-Tanzania border - at which point he had covered over 100 miles but still had more than 2,000 remaining.
According to the latest reports, Zack's journey has paused near the Tanzanian border while he awaits the renewal of a fundraising license.

The World Celebrates - World Humanitarian Day

Secretary General “This year’s World Humanitarian Day presents an historic opportunity to bring together one billion people from around the world to advance a powerful and proactive idea: People Helping People. That is the best way to honour the many fallen aid workers we mourn today, and to celebrate the efforts of others who carry on their noble mission by rushing assistance to those who are suffering.” Ban Ki-moon.

2012 Theme: “I Was Here”
World Humanitarian Day is a time to recognize those who face danger and adversity in order to help others. The day was designated by the General Assembly to coincide with the anniversary of the 2003 bombing of the United Nations headquarters in Baghdad, Iraq, which killed 22 UN staff.
Every day humanitarian aid workers help millions of people around the world, regardless of who they are and where they are. World Humanitarian Day is a global celebration of people helping people.
This year’s campaign “I Was Here” is about making your mark by doing something good, somewhere, for someone else.
